With Iron Man returned to proper continuing, the title was assigned to Kurt Busiek in his first regular superhero assignment. While Tony was gone, his company had been taken over by Fujikawa Enterprises forcing Tony to start a new business named Stark Solutions. This run was soon followed by future Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada who wrote The Man In The Iron Mask, a storyline where Tony's armor evolved sentience. Also introduced was the son of the Mandarin, Temujin.
