Following Crisis on Infinite Earths, Wonder Woman's continuity was restarted. Paradise Island was renamed Themyscira and the Greek pantheon was featured rather than the Roman, making regular villain Mars into Ares. This series strengthened mythological influences and depicted Diana as a fish out of water in Patriarch's World. The series also effectively removed Steve Trevor from Diana's continuity by casting him as an elderly man married to Etta Candy.
