FAQ
When will you be expanding your site?
We are always expanding our site. This is a relatively new resource and a very small operation, so we appreciate your patience. This site currently covers only A-list Marvel and DC superheroes, but we will soon be expanding to include B-list/C-list characters, imprints, creators, and alternative comics.
Is this a comprehensive resource?
No, we do not strive to be a comprehensive resource; we strive to be a comprehensible one. Understanding comics is confusing enough if you keep to the essentials, so that is exactly what we try to do. We start with the essentials and break them down into bite-sized chunks so that you can find something that appeals to you.
Why do you list pencilers as "Artists?"
Simply put, we try to use the simplest and most consistent language possible on this site. We use the word artist so as not to distinguish between pencilers and painters, or a combination of the two. This is not to suggest that writers are not also artists, but it is merely to use a term that might be familiar to people who do not read comics regularly. Remember, this site isn't just for knowledgeable comic readers, but also for the people they are trying to get into comics.
Why don't you list inkers/colorists/letters/etc.?
I think the answer is in the question. Again, we try to be concise with our information, and this is not meant to offend the contributions of so many craftsman who created these comics. Comic books are not the creation of only the writer and penciler, but many, many others. However, when we are looking for new books to read, we usually are choosing based on the character, writer, or artist.
How can I support this site?
Thank you for your interest in our site. This site is currently supported by Amazon affiliate links. If this site helped you to find a comic that you want to read, please click the Amazon affiliate link to offer your support. Other than that, tell your friends and come back often. We are always working to expand and update our timeline.
Can I help contribute to the website?
Absolutely. We very much appreciate any assistance you can offer to make this site the best it can be.
If you see any page with inaccurate or incomplete information, please contact us and we will do our best to address it. Please include a link and a detailed description, if you can.
There are currently several sections of our website lacking in a proper summary of a title. If you would like to provide us with a 180-250 word summary, please contact us and include a link to the specific page you are referencing.
Please be professional in your description. You may criticize the work that you are summarizing, but only if it is a popular criticism and you express it in a generous and constructive manner. Although we all have strong opinions about certain comics, this site is designed to help people find comics they want to read, not to ruin comics they already enjoy. Please keep that in mind.
