Following the events of Eve of Destruction, the series was retitled to New X-Men. Written by Grant Morrison, this series introduced more original characters and ideas including Xavier's evil twin sister Cassandra Nova, a psychic affair between Scott Summers and Emma Frost, the mutant organ harvesting operation of John Sublime, and the teenage riot at Xavier's School led by Quentin Quire. This run concludes with the second death of Jean Grey.
While the stories of Cyclops, Emma Frost, and Beast continued in Astonishing X-Men, this series returned to its previous title featuring a new team of X-Men including Rogue, Gambit, Iceman, Havok, and Polaris. |
