Grant Morrison's arrival on the series marked a new highpoint for the series, returning the team to consists of the classic seven featuring their new base on the surface of the moon, dubbed the Watchtower. Morrison creates new villains with the Hyperclan and Prometheus as well as exploring old concepts in new ways like the Key.
Morrison was followed by writer Mark Waid who began his run with a betrayal from within. From this rift, the team would gradually divide from within leading to their dissolving of the Justice League at the end of this series. |
